Michelle and Ron were married in Barbados in June, but their friends and loved ones came to celebrate their union at Michelle's family home on an August afternoon, sunny and warm. The all-day open house reflected the couple's appreciation for culture and the arts, especially music. A string quartet accompanied brunch in the parlor, a steel drum entertained in the yard for the carribean lunch, and a jazz trio swung through the night to a feast of fried turkey. All this in the setting of a beautiful Colonial Revival home in an historic district of Detroit. The intimacy of the family home created a relaxed atmosphere and provided a very personal view of the couple and their relationship with friends and family.
