Weddings Artist Statement

Through the experience of our own wedding, we understand that

something so sacred should be photographed with reverence. We

are therefore obligated to create with the most honest voice

possible. No composition is ever posed or suggested to create a

"moment." When people see themselves in a print, it is important

that they remember living that moment, not posing for it. The

spiritual nature of a wedding--indeed of life--demands honesty.

The most honest documentary medium is black and white

photography. It transcends the illusion of mechanically

reproduced color and sound, and allows the viewer to dwell solely

on light and the way it interacts with a subject. Light creates form,

rhythm, line, and balance within a composition, and represents

the source of Beauty and Truth.

We are commited to creating collections of art that will stand the

test of time. By providing exquisite archival prints and

presentation, we seek to further the tradition of fine art

photography.

As our art is passed through each family's generations, we hope it

will serve as a beautiful reminder of the love and commitment that

gives us all purpose.
